lyrics
Past the barren land of hope
Covered in white, smouldering ashes
Human remains across roads, seas and skies
Desolate landscapes of forgotten cities
Burn on the altar once extolled
Treacherous agents hiding in plain sight
Awaiting their time to thrust the stake
Crawling on their knees
Hiding from watchful eyes
No hope, no cure, no future
For the damned
Like parasites, feasting on their own
Gnawed to the bone
Vultures circle the impending dead
Feeding on their desperation
Like starving leeches, drinking their blood
Sucked dry, bled and hung
Corpses circle your fading life
Feasting on your decaying flesh
Remnants of forgotten undead
Desolate landscapes of forgotten cities
Burn on the altar once extolled
Treacherous agents hiding in plain sight
Awaiting their time to thrust the stake
never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu
An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal
